These pages provide a record of our visit to Biggar and Quothquan a long time ago. Though no longer updated, and thus having archive status, the pages may still be of interest to visitors to Quothquan, which is in the Parish of Libberton and Quothquan, a small rural hamlet located near the market town of Biggar; click the buttons above to find out more.

For those staying locally, in fine weather, good walks and views can be had on Biggar Common and, for the more energetic on Tinto.

When the snow comes in winter a four wheel drive is helpful, but best not go too fast and allow greater stopping distance or you will find yourself in the hedge! It is also advisable to stay on the tarmac as roadside verges can be soft.
